7th Le Mans Classic starts today

By James Fallon Motor Shows 04 July 2014 13:43 The increasingly popular biennial vintage car event, Le Mans Classic is upon us, with the action taking place between the 4th and 6th of July at the illustrious circuit in France.  The event is an opportunity for motorsport enthusiasts to see some of history’s greatest racing cars and also some great drivers.  Sébastien Loeb, Emanuele Pirro, Andy Wallace and Jean Ragnotti are amongst some of the names in attendance.  There are four-hundred and fifty entrants, carefully chosen by Peter Auto to give variety and represent certain historical periods in racing. Battles between old rivals – many of which are steeped in racing pedigree, will be replayed on track in this awesome spectacle. There are six different grids which divide the 650 entrants with each grid representing a particular period in racing.

Fiat 500X teaser video ahead of 2014 Paris motor show

Fiat has issued this Youtube video of its new 500X crossover, which is destined to launch the Italian brand into the compact SUV market dominated by the Nissan Juke. Although an annoyingly restricted view of the 500X, it is possible to make out the silhouette and outline of the baby crossover, which goes on sale in the UK in time for the new 15-reg launch in March 2015. Ferrari's new Enzo (2013) chassis details revealed

Ferrari has continued its teasing build up towards the reveal of its hybrid flagship supercar by showing off the car's advanced carbon tub chassis. The chassis, which employs four different types of carbonfibre, will be the central component of the V12 model, which will employ an F1-style KERS system and over 800bhp with which to challenge the McLaren P1.
