Lamborghini Huracán blasts into town
Mon, 23 Dec 2013SUPERCAR specialist Lamborghini has finally taken the wraps off the replacement for the long-serving Gallardo. Called the Huracán, its looks might follow the same winning formula as the car it replaces, but its performance statistics blow the old car into the weeds. With a new V10 engine packing a mighty 602bhp punch, the Huracán has been tipped for a top speed ‘faster than 202mph’.
Bentley Hybrid Concept is a Mulsanne, but it’ll arrive in the new Bentley SUV

Fast forward three years and we get the Bentley Hybrid Concept, Bentley’s first crack at a plug-in hybrid powertrain all wrapped up in the Mulsanne. But it won’t be the Mulsanne that sees a production version of the hybrid powertrain but, as expected, the new Bentley SUV.
Aston Martin LOST £24.6 million in 2012
Thu, 10 Oct 2013The Aston Martin Vanquish (pictured) launch in 2012 contributed to AML’s losses We reported just the other day that Aston Martin had axed the Cygnet after woeful sales, and it’s not just the Cygnet that hasn’t been selling well. In fact, Aston Martin sales in 2012 – 67,500 units – was still 42,500 down on its pre-recession sales levels of 110,000 cars in 2007 and that lead to yet another loss. Aston Martin has posted pre-tax losses for 2012 of £24,6 million on sales of £461.2 million for 2012, a worsening position over 2011 which saw losses of £21.2 million.
