CarFest South 2013: the best bits of Chris Evans’ car show in pictures

The weather wasn’t all it could have been but that didn’t stop the fun at the 2013 instalment of CarFest South at Laverstoke Park Farm near Basingstoke in Hampshire. The annual event organised by DJ, TV presenter and famous car nut Chris Evans ran over three days with a sell-out crowd helping raise money for Children in Need.MSN Cars was on site capturing the best of the cars and the atmosphere. Jaguar E-Type for sale – 12 of them

Three of the 12 E-Type Jags on offer from one seller on Ebay If you ask anyone what the most iconic car of the ’60s was most people  - we guess – would suggest the Jaguar E-Type. It seems to epitomise all the was impressive about the decade and – despite now being 50 years old – it still stands up as a stylish and desirable car. Not only is the E-type stylish and iconic it’s having new life breathed back in to it by companies like Eagle, who build E-Types to order from restoration projects and to a standard that surpasses the way they ever came out of British Leyland (or whatever the name of the company was that built them at the time  - there were several iterations of the BL Brand, unfortunately).

Now, what on earth, or for that matter not from earth have we got here? It's the Mercedes Biome concept supercar. It's a product of Merc's Los Angeles design studio, and they prefer to describe it as an 'Ultralight vehicle at one with nature.' The Biome was produced as part of the Los Angeles Design Challenge, taking part alongside the 2010 LA auto show.
