The 2011 Suzuki Swift revealed After a few leaked and spy pictures cropped up, Suzuki has decided to do the sensible thing and stick out some detail and an official picture to feed interest in the new Suzuki Swift, which is due to go on sale in the Autumn. The new Swift is bigger than the current car – 90mm longer and an extra 50mm in the wheelbase – but despite that it’s both lighter and stiffer which means more room, more performance and better dynamics. When the new Swift launches the existing 1.3 litre lump will be replaced by a new 1.2 litre Dual VVT producing 92bhp and 87lb’ft of torque.

Sangyup Lee, designer of the acclaimed Chevrolet Camaro, has recently resigned from General Motors to accept a position as Chief Designer of Exterior at the Volkswagen/Audi Advanced studio in California. Lee is scheduled to begin work mid-January 2010, reporting to Jens Manske who was appointed  Executive Director earlier this year. By Damion Smy Motor Industry 06 May 2014 15:51 Alfa Romeo has confirmed the news first broken exclusively by CAR in July 2013: the Italian brand will make a dramatic shift from front-drive hatches like the Mito and Giulietta, and instead develop a new range of rear- and all-wheel sports saloons, SUVs and sports cars. Announced in Detroit at Fiat-Chrysler HQ, Alfa Romeo chief technology officer Harald Wester revealed the mantra for the brand includes pushing volumes up from 74,000 sales in 2013, to around 400,000 by 2018.
