I am the Ebay Sales Person for Rogel Ford. I am not a technician in any way. This is one kit that I wanted to personally see how easy it was to install. Pulling one of our 2015 Edge off the lot, the perimeter alarm took me literally 4 minutes to plug in and program, and the remote start system took me another 2 minutes. I then pulled the truck around to one of our Ford technicians, he plugged into the vehicles OBD Port, turned on the remote start feature in the computer, and had it up and going in 15 minutes!

Perimeter Alarm:

What does the alarm do over what you already have from the factory? If your window is smashed, if someone steals your wheels, or if someone steals your tailgate, your factory alarm doesn't go off. Who steals newer model vehicles anyway? All thieves want is the valuables INSIDE your vehicle! Your window can be smashed and they can dig all through your vehicle and take what they want. With this alarm, it plugs into your vehicle and works off of vibration. Even with the windows down, if someone reaches into your vehicle and messes with anything, the alarm goes off.

Protect your guns, electronics, and other valuables with this Ford OEM item. Not some aftermarket alarm that requires cutting and splicing into your vehicles wiring.

This perimeter alarm is also like a main hub for other accessories, such as remote start system and iphone controls.

Remote Start Upgrade:

The remote start system plugs directly into the perimeter alarm box. It CANNOT work independently on its own. There is a small antennae that has double side tape. You tape it to the inside of your windshield directly behind the rearview mirror, run the cable along the headliner and down the A Pillar, and plug it into the box! Its truly that simple. The kit comes with a pair of One Way Remotes. This system also works from 4 TIMES the distance as a factory remote start system!

It will require a quick trip to your local Ford Dealer for them to program the computer to allow the remote start to work. The technician here did it in 15 minutes, which equals out to $22.50 in labor cost.

Please don't hesitate to call me with any questions or concerns. Beau Rogel @ Rogel Ford. 601-892-3673.

2015 Ford Mustang interior grows up

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

The 2015 Ford Mustang has officially arrived, and much to-do has been made about its new styling. “The taillights are a throwback,” “The taillights suck,” “It looks like a BMW 4-series in the front,” “It looks like an Accord in the rear.” We've heard it all. But not much has been said about the inside of Ford's newest pony car, which appears to be an upgrade in nearly all respects.

Where did the word 'automobile' come from?

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

On Jan. 3, 1899, the New York Times printed the word "automobile" upon its austere pages. It wasn't the first publication to do so; Scientific American used the phrase "automobile carriage" in a May 14, 1898, review of the Winton Motor Carriage, but the Grey Lady -- a more influential publication -- was the first to debate the term.

Hyundai i20 WRC starts testing

Mon, 27 May 2013

Hyundai has been busy plotting its return to WRC Rallying for 2014, but so far it’s all been about behind the scenes work on building an i20 capable of taking on the rally world and gathering a team that can make it a success. But with the first official outing for the i20 due in January 2014 in Monte Carlo, Hyundai has finally taken their i20 WRC out in the world to give it some proper testing outside the workshop, Hyundai have been playing on a private testing ground to check out the i20′s systems, followed by a comprehensive testing session to work on different setups and gather data, with a major focus on the i20′s 1.6 litre turbo which, until now, hadn’t been run in the car outside Hyundai’s R&D. Hyundai say all went well over the 55okm of testing across three days, a prelude to a full programme of testing in the coming months as Hyundai get closer to their official debut.
