CES opens with fewer big wheels, including carmakers
Wed, 09 Jan 2013There are some grumblings that the annual CES is becoming less relevant in this era of 24-hour news and instant globalization of information on the internet. And you can make a good argument that the relevance of the world's largest consumer electronics show is at least evolving, for carmakers as well as for other industry giants. Hyundai plots two coupes
Thu, 17 Apr 2008By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 17 April 2008 05:18 Hyundai is plotting two different sports cars to replace the Coupe, CAR Online has learned: a low-volume, rear-wheel drive model to raise the profile of the Korean brand, and a more conventional coupe to raise sales. The Genesis Coupe, unveiled at the March 2008 New York auto show and aimed principally at the US market, is being touted as Hyundai's answer to the Vauxhall VXR8. It's a big, rear-wheel drive sports car that's powered by a choice of 306bhp 3.8-litre V6 and 210bhp 2.0-litre turbo. It's the bright red car pictured in the main image in our gallery above.
Audi RS Q3: Official
Wed, 20 Feb 2013Audi has revealed their first ever RS SUV in the shape of the RS Q3, a 306bhp compact SUV which will debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Arriving for its first public outing at the Geneva Motor Show next month, the RS Q3 (we want to call it the Q3 RS) comes, as expected, with Audi’s 2.5 litre five-cylinder engine packing 306bhp and 310lb/ft of torque, which is enough to throw the RS Q3 to 62mph in just 5.5 seconds and still manage official economy of 32.1mpg. Audi has lowered the suspension on the RS Q3 and given it stiffer springs and dampers as well as fitting bigger anti-roll bars.
