Mercedes-Benz has revealed prices for the updated 2012 Mercedes G Class, which starts at £82,954 and rises to £123,115. The word ‘Icon’ is bandied around for any car that’s survived the test of time (guilty as charged), but few are really iconic. The Mercedes G Class is one of the exceptions.

We’ve long wondered when Audi would get round to expanding its range of ‘Q’ badged SUVs to include sporty coupe SUVs as well as a new range-topper bigger than the Q7. But Audi Chairman chairman, Rupert Stadler, said back in 2011 that Audi was inclined to ignore the sector above the Q7 and instead concentrate on more compact SUVs. Honda has revealed a limited edition Jazz for the UK – the Jazz Si – with sporty looks as standard. It’s a bit of a cliché, but Honda’s customer demographic, certainly in the UK, is generally past the first flush of youth. So we’re not sure if a limited edition ‘sporty’ Jazz – the Honda Jazz Si – is aimed at trendy wrinklies or whether Honda are hoping to appeal to their grandchildren, but whatever it is the UK gets a sporty limited edition Jazz offering in showrooms next month.
