2014 Polaris 800 CFI Engine- FREE SHIPPING!

Removed running from a 2014 Switchback Assault. The sled had a front end collision and suffered bulkhead damage and is being parted out. 125 PSI of compression on each cylinder. When I picked the machine from the compound it was at, the guy working there told me he knew the owner. Says he just had the engine rebuilt and only put a few miles on it before he wrecked it. I can’t confirm that that is was rebuilt or not. But, It did have a half a tank of fuel that was mixed with oil(common practice after a rebuild). The cylinders appear to be new (no oxidization on it) compared to the cases and head. Looks like a new OEM cylinder, and still has the OEM sticker on it with the part no. and 2D bar code. Comes exactly as shown in the pictures. Cylinder walls are minty with pronounced cross hatching when looking through the exhaust ports. Has the “Type 2” crankshaft in it. 3057 miles on the sled at the time of removal. Engine will be mounted securely inside of a plywood shipping crate.

Below are three video's : one showing the machine running before it was disassembled, and the other two showing a compression test on each cylinder.

New Mercedes SLS planned – & it won’t be a hybrid

Sun, 17 Mar 2013

AMG’s Tobias Moers has confirmed that a new Mercedes SLS is planned – as is a sub-SLS SLC – but it won’t come with hybrid power and electric assistance. But the Mercedes take on a supercar – the Mercedes SLS – isn’t set to go down the KERS route ant time soon according to AMG’s Director of Vehicle Development, Tobias Moers, who said that a next generation SLS – which is under development – would rely on weight saving and engine tweaking, just like the new Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series (pictured above), rather than electric assistance for its performance. Moers also said that Mercedes and AMG realised that the AMG brand doesn’t have the cachet of Ferrari and they have no plans to produce a car to go head to head with LaFerrari (or even the McLaren P1) so we won’t be seeing a hyper-SLS pushed upmarket in to the firing line of Ferrari any time soon.

McLaren P1 explained by Anthony Sheriff (video): Paris 2012

Fri, 28 Sep 2012

McLaren Managing Director, Anthony Sheriff, explains exactly what the new McLaren P1 Supercar will offer its customers. But the concept P1 does show exactly where McLaren are heading with the spiritual successor to the McLaren F1 road car of the 1990s, and it does look 95 per cent like the production car. We covered what detail we have on the new P1 extensively yesterday when McLaren officially unveiled the P1 in Paris – from its construction to its downforce and active aero – but it’s interesting to get a McLaren view on their new baby, which we have from McLaren’s MD Anthony Sheriff.
