It’s hard not to feel a bit let down by the Subaru BRZ. Perhaps the quote attributed to Subaru that the BRZ would get ‘less than 300bhp’ was lost in translation, but the fact the BRZ comes with just three horses more than its cousin the Toyota FT-86 just leaves a feeling of disappointment.

We had a photo of the new GTC – complete with a slightly odd two-tone paint job – drop in last week, and we’d planned to run the story today – it’s a good filler for a Sunday. The diminutive truck - just 3547mm long - is longer than a Fortwo, and is supposed to be based on the running gear of the next-gen Smart Forfour, aka the new Renault Twingo. So if the For-Us doesn't look so much like a Smart any more, from the front at least, that's why.
