A day in the life of Ken Block: Video
Wed, 07 Dec 2011Ken Block is back, not with Gymkhana Five but with a video that follows the rally driver and DC Shoe cofounder through a day in Los Angeles. That day includes some errands, a morning car shoot and some track work for Gymkhana. He does all of this while listening to his own playlist in the Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle Ford Fiesta.
Golf Mk 6 bows out with new VW Golf R Cabriolet
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Volkswagen is finally delivering the VW Golf R Cabriolet Mk 6, just as the Golf Mk 7 hits the road, but it does without 4WD. But it’s taken until now – 2013 and after the Mk 7 Golf arrived – for VW to fulfil the promise of more powerful open-top motoring in the Golf with the arrival – following a Golf R Cabrio tease video at the end of 2012 – to finally reveal it. Just as you’d expect, the Golf R Cabriolet is mechanically similar to the Golf R in that it gets the same 2.0 litre turbo four cylinder petrol engine that delivers its power through a six-speed dual-clutch auto box.
VW CrossBlue Coupe Concept heading for Shanghai
Thu, 18 Apr 2013Volkswagen are heading to the Shanghai Motor Show with a new SUV concept as car makers strive to satisfy car buyer’s lust for rugged cars to prowl the urban landscape. But the VW CrossBlue Concept doesn’t seem to be a car that fits in to the fad for compact SUVs, rather it’s a full-size SUV that appears to be a coupe version of the VW CrossBlue Concept we saw earlier this year in Detroit. So far we only have a sketch of the CrossBlue Coupe, and you can be pretty sure it won’t be quite as ‘Coupe’ as the sketches indicate when it does turn up in Shanghai this weekend; think more Audi Q7 than Mercedes GLA.
