The Deluxe Premium Mooring Cover with Tower is made of Sur Last® BW+ and includes improvements over standard Sur Last®, including a new weave and surface treatments. It uses the same “solution dyed” filament polyester yarns, providing excellent UV fade resistance and dimensional stability. Also includes zippers around the mooring cleats to allow easier docking. Now, in addition, these covers also have the following features:Weave is a balanced construction allowing for a tighter fabric, increasing its weight 15%. Weave increases its tensile and tear strength by 25% while adding more water repellency. Remains lightweight but with increased strength.Face side surface has an enhanced durable water repellency treatment adding 50-60% more hydrostatic water resistance than any comparable fabric available.Surface tension decreases so the water beads gather quicker to move off the cover faster. Land Rover Defender to be built in Sri Lanka
Tue, 09 Apr 2013The Land Rover Defender is to be built outside the UK in a new plant in Sri Lanka to produce Defenders for the region. Land Rover are assisting and training staff at a new assembly plant in Hambantota, Sri Lanka, run by Sathosa Motors PLC in a 50-50 deal with Land Rover distributors SML Frontier Automotive, with $1 million being invested to get the project up and running this year. It seems clear from the level of investment that this is simply an assembly operation using CKD kits from the UK for the Defender, but Sri Lank’s Daily News is reporting that there are plans to invest $500 million in the project.
Brabus tunes Mercedes S-class for Frankfurt motor show
Fri, 06 Sep 2013German tuner Brabus is working its magic on the new-generation Mercedes-Benz S-class for the Frankfurt motor show, the Brabus 850 6.0 Biturbo iBusiness. The clumsily named sedan comes with an iPad mini that can control all COMAND functions from the back seat. Of course, Brabus wouldn't be here without adding gobs of power to the normally staid S-class.
