Audi has released details of the A5 Sportback that will launch in the UK in September Audi are on a mission to fill every niche that exists – and some that don’t – in order to reach their goal of selling 1.5 million cars a year by 2015. Set to go on sale in the UK and Europe (but not the US) after the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, the Audi A5 Sportback is said to offer the practicality of an estate with the elegance of a Coupe. Mercedes GLA 45 AMG: OFFICIAL After the arrival of the Mercedes A 45 AMG – and its swoopy coupe sibling CLA 45 AMG – it was always more than likely that Mercedes would launch a GLA 45 AMG, and we saw the first evidence of that with the debut of the Mercedes GLA 45 AMG Concept at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. But now, Mercedes has the production version of the GLA 45 AMG ready to go and we get the first photos and details ahead of its debut at the Detroit Auto Show next month. Powered by the same 355bhp 2.0 litre turbo as the A 45 AMG and CLA 45 AMG, the GLA 45 AMG manages to get to 62mph in 4.8 seconds (0.2 slower than the A 45 and CLA 45) and manages official economy fo 37.6mpg and 175g/km (but not in the real world).

Mercedes Concept Style Coupe leaks out early The Mercedes Concept Style Coupe – which previews the baby CLS Mercedes CLC – has leaked ahead of a Los Angeles reveal. We’re still not completely sure that the Mercedes Concept Style Coupe – which is due to be revealed at an event in Los Angeles later in April – will arrive as the Mercedes CLC, but it seems likely. What also seems likely is that it will go down a storm, especially if the photo above (leaked on a Croatian site) is the real deal – it looks stunning.
