Tesla Model X Electric SUV production confirmed for early 2015

The Tesla Model X SUV (pictured) will start production in early 2015 The Tesla Model S electric car has been a bigger success than anyone could have guessed, and is probably the only electric car that offers a real alternative to an ICE car. But a one-model range is not a recipe for long-term success, so Tesla are planning on delivering a 4WD electric SUV and a BMW 3-Series EV to add to the Model S, with production of the Model X SUV now conformed for early 2015. In an email to customer who have already put a deposit down on the Model X SUV, tesla reveals that they will be building the first production prototypes this Autumn, and that proper production of the Model X will commence in early 2015.

Subaru VIZIV Concept & new Subaru Forester at Geneva 2013

Subaru are debuting a new crossover/SUV concept at the Geneva Motor Show as well as the new Subaru Forester and Outback diesel CVT. Subaru are heading to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show with a new crossover concept  - Subaru VIZIV Concept – but has failed to give us any real information. So we don’t know if the VIZIV (the name is supposed to mean ‘Vision for Innovation) is a replacement on the way for a current Subaru, or an all new car.

Vintech P550 Tribute – Porsche 550 reborn (2012)

French company Vintech will show this classy P550 Tribute coupe at the 2012 Pebble Beach concours this week. No prizes for guessing that it's inspired by Porsche's pert 550. The P550 Tribute is a carbon-bodied two-seater due to be shown at the The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering on 17 August 2012.
