Skoda confirms prices for two new models
Fri, 04 Oct 2013SKODA has announced prices for its two latest models; the Rapid Spaceback and the facelifted Yeti. The Spaceback, which is 180mm shorter and smaller of boot than the ‘notchback’ Rapid, is designed to be the brand’s long-awaited direct rival to the likes of the Ford Focus and Kia Cee’d. It will start from £14,340 on the road for the 1.2 TSI petrol S model with 85bhp.
Volvo makes breakthrough in battery tech

The Swedish firm is exploring the concept of lightweight structural energy storage components made from carbonfibre, containing “nano structured batteries and super capacitors.” This technology is said to offer a lighter, more compact solution to the problem of energy storage, potentially removing the need for the heavy, bulky batteries used in current electric vehicles. Goodwood Revival To Honour Iconic Maserati 250F
Thu, 31 Jul 2014SEPTEMBER will see the organisers of the popular Goodwood Revival mark 60 years of one of Formula 1’s most iconic machines, the Maserati 250F. One of the highlights of the historic race meeting will be one of the largest ever on-track collections of the car at the September 12-14 event. As many as 16 examples of the 250F are expected to take part in the Richmond Trophy, which this year will feature 2.5-litre, front-engined grand prix cars of a kind that raced from 1954 to 1960.
