Special-edition Jaguar XKR 175 confirmed for Pebble Beach reveal--and the U.S. market

A limited-edition, high-performance Jaguar called the XKR 175 will debut at Pebble Beach later this summer in celebration of the historic brand's 75th anniversary. The name of this speed demon actually indicates the number of units that will be made for the United States. Jaguar says 175 will reach U.S.

Nissan Juke Nismo: Paris 2012

Nissan has kicked off its Nismo road car range with the reveal of the production Juke Nismo at the Paris Motor Show. The Juke Nismo get the same 1.6 litre petrol engine as the Juke DIG-T model, but it’s been fettled to offer more than the stock engine’s 187bhp. Trouble is, even though its due on sale in the UK in a few months, Nissan still isn’t saying exactly what the Juke Nismo gets – but it should be around 200bhp.

Kia GT and Provo look to be heading in to production

The recent Kia Provo Concept and the impressive Kia GT look like they’re heading in to production as Kia move upmarket. Equally, the stunning Kia GT concept we saw at 2 years ago at Frankfurt  - a swoopy coupe Kia take on the Mercedes CLS – was equally convincing, although we’d begun to think Kia had gone cold on the idea of putting the Kia GT in to production. But Auto Express are reporting that both the Provo (with a change of name ) and the GT are close to being signed off for production after a conversation with Benny Oeyen, Kia’s marketing boss in Europe.
