Fiat dealers likely to get Alfa, Marchionne says

Sergio Marchionne, CEO of the Chrysler Group, said that Alfa Romeo vehicles will likely be sold at Fiat dealerships in the United States. About 200 Fiat franchises will be awarded this fall, mainly to Chrysler Group dealerships in metro markets friendly to small cars. Fiat is preparing to bring Alfa vehicles to the United States starting in late 2012.

Jaguar announced plans on Friday morning in London to build a production version of the car, and it will make just 250 examples from 2013 to 2015 as part of a partnership with Williams F1. Geely to enter to US market with help from Volvo

Geely Automobile Holdings told reporters in Hong Kong on Aug. 23 that it plans to start exporting cars to the United States with help from Volvo. Geely is hoping the Swedish company’s reputation will help it succeed in new markets after the firm stumbled on its first trip to the States at the Detroit auto show in 2006.
