Up for sale is a set of three piece forged custom wheels for Infiniti or Nissan or anything with a 5x112 bolt pattern. The are made by a smaller company in California called Interad Forged. These wheels are called "Turismo" They are 22x10 all around, but have staggered lip sizes. The fronts have a 3.5" lip and the rear is 4" lip with a slight concave to them. They are full three piece construction with hidden hardware, as the rivets are in the back. These wheels are amazingly light, only 29 pounds per wheel (without tire). They are incredibly light and not only look good but perform well too. The tires are Nitto 420S tires in 285/35/22. The front tire are brand new. Just installed and only have like 100 miles on them. The rear tires are still good, have at least 50% left and these tires are rated close to 40K miles. The only issues are on the two rear wheels. The chrome lip has peeled or is peeling in some areas. The wheels are fine, just the two chrome lips will need to be replaced. These are the same barrels that HRE and iForge uses I was told. Other than this, there is no curb rash just the chrome lip is peeling on the rears only. These wheels were on my FX45 and they were specced for a big brake kit, so it will clear yours. These wheels are so sick, they will get so much attention and compliments from people, both car enthusiasts and the average driver. I waited two months for these to be made and with tires there were over $6500. Just get wheel adapters and get them to fit other cars too. Shipping to mainland US only and shipping will be $200 handled by Pilot Freight. http://www.pilotdelivers.com/ I heard good things about them and know people who ship expensive wheels with this carrier. Silverstone redevelops Stowe: new pictures

Mon, 16 Nov 2009

By Christopher Erasmus First Official Pictures 16 November 2009 14:28 This is the new Stowe Complex at Silverstone, the first step in the racing circuit's new £7 million track development programme, and the main feature to attract corporate and product events to the track ahead of major planned events in 2010.Will Silverstone's new Stowe Complex affect the 2010 Moto GP or possible return of the British grand prix? No, the complex is a separate development within the full F1 circuit, and should be fully complete by March 2010, in time for the Moto GP in June 2010 and the still-possible British GP in July 2010. The development is designed to attract manufacturers and corporate events types to come and test at the Northamptonshire venue. So it's just a money-spinning scheme by Silverstone? Or are they actually building something important? The Stowe Complex is certainly a way for Silverstone to generate some important revenue and publicity.

EPA makes it official--greenhouse gases are pollutants

Tue, 08 Dec 2009

On the eve of an international climate summit, the EPA on Monday formally declared greenhouse gases to be dangerous pollutants, strengthening President Barack Obama's hand and laying the groundwork for a new 35.5 mpg standard for light vehicles. The finding is likely to have a greater impact on electric utilities, oil companies and manufacturers than on the auto industry. The EPA's scientific finding reported that these gases “are the primary driver of climate change,” which can intensify heat waves and increase ozone pollution linked to asthma and other respiratory illnesses.
