Peugeot Expands 308 Range With Load-Lugging SWFri, 21 Feb 2014HOT on the heels of the arrival of its 308 family hatchback, Peugeot has unveiled its new 308 wagon. The 308 SW will get its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month, with cars hitting the showrooms this summer. Offering the same minimalist driving environment as the hatch, complete with a large colour touchscreen for access to the car’s main features, the SW also includes a wide range of fuel-efficient petrol and diesel engines. Highway Code braking distances questionedThu, 14 Aug 2014THE ACCURACY of facts and figures in the Highway Code has been called into question after research by the RAC showed that many drivers underestimate official stopping distances. As part of the organisation's Report on Motoring 2014, drivers were asked to identify the Highway Code's stated stopping distances from different speeds, but the majority “seriously underestimated” the figures. However, a separate survey by Right Driver of 1,000 Advanced Driving Instructors (ADIs) revealed that the vast majority strongly believe that the official braking distances have become irrelevant and should be updated. Which was exactly our sentiment when we got a Tweet from Land Rover pointing us towards ‘Spy’ photos of the Evoque which purport to be snapped whilst the Evoque was out in London – perhaps on a secret photo shoot? Anyway, that’s what we thought when we saw the four photos at the bottom shoved on to YouTube. 2040Parts.com © 2012-2024. All Rights Reserved.
