For sale is a pair of used 225/60R18 Goodyear Assurance tires for 18" wheels. These were used as factory replacements on a 2009 Chrysler 300C and have about 70% tread left. They are in good working condition and were pulled from the vehicle with under 10,000 miles on these two tires. The car was well aligned and the tires show no uneven wear. These would make a great extra pair of tires for spares or would make great replacements for a pair of tires on your car.

Tires are sold as is with no warranty. I prefer local pickup but I can drop the tires off at the local FedEx or UPS store within 10 miles of zip code 48335. Buyer would arrange any shipping arrangements and I would only drop the tires off at an agreed upon shipment store location upon full payment of tires. Full payment is due at time of purchase with Buy It Now option.

Sun, 20 Jul 2014

The BYD E6 EV (pictured) will benefit from China’s push on EVs The UK government has just announced its commitment to use electric cars for its own vehicles in an effort to boost the take-up of EVs, but China is going even further. China has ordered government officials to start buying electric cars (that means BEVs, plug-in hybrids and hydrogen fuel cell cars) in a big way, with instructions that 30 per cent of government cars must fall in to the ‘New Energy’ category by 2017, and an even higher percentage going forward. The aim is to cut pollution, and China expects to have 5 million New Energy cars on the road by 2020 and it is urging it government agencies and some city governments to start buying New Energy vehicles from Chinese makers like BYD and SDAIC, but also instructing them to build more charging stations and supporting infrastructure.

Illuminated badges and emblems on cars aren't a new idea – those old enough to remember will recall the warm glow of the old Wolseley grille emblems – but in recent history they have been the reserve of concept cars and the aftermarket. Mercedes is set to restart the trend however as it begins to offer an LED-illuminated star as a dealer-fit option on the E–, GL–, M– and CLS–Class. We've started to see lighting spill out onto the exterior of concept cars for a while and this move is sure to have other OEMs and aftermarket firms alike following Mercedes' lead.
