Of course, the current credit problems play a big part in Bentley’s problems, either because buyers need finance to buy their cars or, more likely, the demonising of the sort of cars Bentley makes by the eco-mentalists makes them an uncomfortable buy. So Bentley has come up with a strategy to combat the ‘Planet Killing’ perception many have of its products – Bio-Fuels.

Axon Plug-in Hybrid revealed

Axon Automotive's plug-in hybrid due to market in 2011 We’re used to seeing plug-in hybrids coming at us from major manufacturers as they try to out eco one another. But this time we have a UK made plug-in hybrid from minnow car maker Axon Automotive. Axon Automotive’s plug-in hybrid has been revealed at the Milton Keynes Science Festival and can be used as a pure electric car or with its small petrol or bioethanol engine.

Ferrari 458 Italia World Première +Video

The Ferrari has its world premiere this week in Maranello Wednesday evening saw gala presentation of the 458 Italia to an invited crowd, and Ferrari had every Ferrari-associated face on display, from Michael Schumacher to Piero Ferrari. It’s the usual glad-handing event, but we do get a few glimpses of the 458 in motion, and it’s a curtain raiser for the proper reveal next week at Frankfurt.
