The Italian car maker isn't competing though, as the 4C was been made the official safety car for the 2014 season. The coupe will be finished in a special livery and will be on the grid for every race, beginning with the Circuit of Marrakech (Morocco) on 12 and 13 April.

Porsche has injected a little more flair into its SUV with the debut of the Cayenne GTS Design Edition 3. Following the Cayman S and Boxster S Design Editions, the Cayenne receives a thorough visual makeover from the Porsche Design Studio. Designers began by covering the Cayenne’s sheetmetal with lava grey metallic paint with three design stripes down the center of the hood and one stripe along the lower door panels.

Ford Motor Co., the only U.S. automaker operating without federal bailout loans, burned through $3.7 billion in cash during the first quarter in posting its fourth straight quarterly loss. Ford slowed the burn rate from the fourth quarter of 2008, when cash declined by $5.5 billion.
