Tokyo Motor Show 2013: the best production cars
Thu, 21 Nov 2013The Tokyo Motor Show is Japan's premier motor show and is well known for its display of weird and wonderful concept cars - many of which, frustratingly, will never see full production. So, for car fans with half an eye on real-world reality, help is at hand. We've put together a gallery of our favourite production cars of the Tokyo Motor Show 2013.
Mitsubishi Outlander GT
Fri, 03 Apr 2009The Mitsubishi Outlander GT will show at the New York Motor Show [ad#ad-1] The picture above is the Mitsubishi Outlander GT Concept (which is not a Photoshop mis-hap – just another version of a car maker’s ‘tease’ image, this time blurred). This is Mitsubishi’s efforts to make the Outlander more appealing, and from what we can see it’s taken a design cue from the Lamborghini Reventon, by putting a ‘Stealth Fighter’ nose on the front. Actually, as a blurred image, the front end does look a little reminiscent of the Lagonda Concept we saw at Geneva last month.
Mini Countryman (2010): first official pictures
Wed, 20 Jan 2010This is the Mini Countryman, the fourth addition to Mini’s range – after the regular three-door hatch, the Convertible and the Clubman – and also the first current-generation Mini to have four-wheel drive and four regular passenger doors. No, Mini says the Countryman is a crossover, and the four-wheel drive system – called Mini All4 – is an option. Think of the Countryman as a slightly bigger and more practical Clubman with a longer wheelbase than other Minis, four proper doors and a conventional lift-up rear hatch, but to make sure it looks a bit more butch Mini has given the Countryman a bigger, bluffer nose than its siblings.
