Maserati Alfieri will launch in 2016 to take on the Jaguar F-Type

Maserati has confirmed that the Alfieri will go in to production in 2016 as the Alfieri Coupe, with an Alfieri Convertible arriving by 2017, giving Maserati a serious rival to the Jaguar F-Type.

When a pair of 1965 Ford Mustangs served as pace cars for the 1964 Indianapolis 500, the car -- which had made its debut just a few weeks before -- was kicking off an exciting motorsports career that continues to this day. Daimler, Renault-Nissan announce alliance
