HELLO EVERYONE, THIS IS A LISTING FOR A BEAUTIFUL MATCHED PAIR OF 289 HI PO CYLINDER HEADS. I BOUGHT THESE FROM A GUY THAT I KNEW ABOUT 23 YEARS AGO THAT HE HAD SITTING ON HIS GARAGE SHELF. THESE HEADS HAVE JUST BEEN COMPLETELY REBUILT, BY MY LOCAL SPEED MACHINE SHOP, TO FACTORY SPECS. THE BILL, WHICH I INCLUDED A PICTURE OF, COST $988.00 THE HEADS ARE A MATCHED SET WITH 19 BEING ON EACH HEAD. THE CASTING DATES ON EACH HEAD IS 4J16(SEPTEMBER 16, 1964) AND 4G23(JULY 23, 1964). THESE ARE GREAT FOR A EARLY 1965 HI PO MUSTANG OR 1965 SHELBY GT350. HERE IS WHAT WAS DONE: HOT TANKED, MAGNAFLUXED HEADS TO CHECKED FOR CRANCKS NON FOUND, GLASS BEAD. FRESH 3 ANGLE VALVE JOB DONE ON SERDI MACHINE TO FACTORY ANGLES OF:15/30/45. NEW BRONZE WALL GUIDES INSTALLED AND HONED TO FIT NEW VALVES. DECKS WERE CUT, BUT NOT MUCH, TO BE PERFECT. INCLUDES NEW STAINLESS INTAKE VALVES OF 1.940 & NEW STAINLESS 1.600 EXHAUST VALVES. ALL NEW STUDS. NEW FACTORY SPEC SPRINGS THAT WILL WORK FOR STOCK TO SLIGHTLY ABOVE STOCK SPECS. HEADS HAVE BEEN PAINTED HIGH TEMP CORRECT COLOR BLACK FOR 1965 ENGINES. THESE ARE ALL NEW AND READY TO BOLT RIGHT ON AND GO WITH NO ISSUES. THE HEADS ARE SOLD AS IS BUT AGAIN WERE COMPLETLY REDONE. Australia's Holden to cease production after 2017, GM says
Wed, 11 Dec 2013General Motors, in the latest blow to Australia's auto industry, will end vehicle and engine manufacturing and scale back engineering operations in the country by the end of 2017. The company's Holden unit, a mainstay in Australia for decades, cited the high cost of manufacturing in one of the world's smallest but most competitive markets and one that has also been upended by a steady rise in imports, mostly from southeast Asia. There has been widespread speculation of the move in recent days and earlier Tuesday, in Australia, GM officials said no decision had been made.
