Is your Engine Ground cable looking greasy, old, corroded, or deteriorated? Did you know the Engine Ground Cable completes the current flow for most of the engine related electronics?  Did you know a poor engine ground on your BMW can cause problems with fluctuating/inaccurate temperature gauge, occasional no crank from starter, dimming parking/headlights, among many other electrical related problems?

These Engine to Chassis ground cables are hand made by a professional Electrical Technician with over 10 years professional experience using professional tools and techniques.  I'll explain and prove...see pictures below.

Each purchase is for a single 16 inch (hole to hole) cable assembly.  It is slightly longer than OEM to make for easier installation.

This cable set will fit BMW's with the following engines:
E30: M42, M20 325ix only
E34: M20, M30, M50, M60
E28: M21
E32: M30, M60, M70
E31: M60, M62, M70, M73, S70

Here are the specs of the cable and components are used. Made in USA.

Cable Conductor - #2AWG 99.999% purified electrolytic copper
Cable Insulation - CCI Royal Excelene (resists oil, burning, abrasion, cold weather and is rated at 600 volts/3 hours, -58F to 221F)
Lugs - 3/8in dia through hole, copper
Heat shrink - Irradiated Polyolefin (flame retardant, -47F to 257F)
Additional specs - Highly flexible welding cable, which in my professional opinion, is the best power cable because its resistant to multiple climates, temperatures, oils, gas, and can withstand extreme amounts of current. Also highly conductive copper. These cables will last several decades!

Because this cable is almost twice as thick as the OEM cable, it will handle much more current for faster starter crank times and to supply power to your upgraded electronics.

Insulation is stripped, using professional techniques that avoids ANY possible nicks or scores.  Wire that is stripped in a un-professional manner will have nicks and scores that will break over time and/or during the moment of crimping. This will lead to failure of the termination.

First crimped using Klein crimpers under high pressure. Each end is soldered using 60/40 tin/lead and a torch.  Note the complete absorbing of solder.
Polyolefin heat-shrink tubing applied

Each termination is cleaned for maximum conductivity.

Lexus RX 450h Advance added to RX range

Sat, 09 Nov 2013

The Lexus RX 450h Advance (pictured) added to the RX range Lexus has added a new version of the hybrid RX 450h to their range of offerings in the UK – the Lexus RX 450h Advance – but they’re not exactly pushing the boat out to promote it. The details we got from Lexus tell us that the Advance is based on the RX Luxury, but with the addition of extra kit and just one photo (above). Those extras amount to a new front bumper that’s half regular R and half RX F-Sport for a slightly more butch look, LED headlights and Lexus’s I-AFS auto-adaptive system that makes the lights move according to steering input.

Pforzheim University Winter Degree Show 2010

Tue, 23 Feb 2010

Pforzheim University held its winter degree show earlier this month, taking over the Congresshall complex in downtown Pforzheim again, rather than the school itself, which is situated on the outskirts of the town. The German school's exhibition covered projects from five graduating Masters' students and eight BA students, with an increasing number of interior projects being tackled, especially by MA students. The exhibition also included work from first-semester Masters students for a vehicle for the nearby spa town of Bad Herrenalb , as well as a 'My First Mercedes' project from fourth and sixth semester undergraduates.

Councils make £594m from parking

Mon, 23 Dec 2013

RECORD SURPLUSES from parking revenues have been achieved by councils, according to the RAC Foundation. In 2012/13 councils in England generated a combined "profit" of £594 million from their on and off-street parking operations, the foundation said. This was a 5% increase on the figure of £565 million for 2011/12, and just 52 of the 353 parking authorities in England reported a deficit in 2012/13.
