Eight hot rods compete for Ridler Award in Detroit

The 59th Annual Autorama has taken over Cobo Center in downtown Detroit with hundreds of hot rods, customs classics cars and motorcycles in what has been billed as America's greatest hot rod show. Judges have selected eight vehicles--dubbed the Great 8--as finalists for the coveted Ridler Award that will be presented Sunday evening at the show's conclusion. The Great 8 are: -- Jim Marciniak from Andover, Minn., with a 1963 Buick.

The facelifted Renault Clio for 2009 - Due to launch at the Geneva Motor Show in March As with most car makers, Renault is going for the ‘Family’ look, and has grafted a new nose on the Clio to make it look like its big brother, the Megane. So it gets a new front end with new headlights, slitty grill and an air intake at the bottom. Fiat ElleZero Spied Fiat has a new compact MPV heading towards the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the Fiat ElleZero. Expected to arrive in the UK as the Chrysler ElleZero. It looks like Fiat’s next big model reveal is going to be a new compact MPV – the Fiat ElleZero – which, with all things Fiat and Chrysler being a bit more complicated in the UK, could end up on our shores in 2013 as the Chrysler ElleZero - or even the Chrysler EZ.
