MINI Cooper S Diesel coming?

Thu, 26 Nov 2009

What appears to be a MINI Cooper S Diesel out testing The photo at the top appears to be a MINI Cooper S diesel. Which is not a car we had on our radar, but with MINI any sub niche of a sub niche is fair game, so it seems highly likely that a beefed up S version of the diesel MINI Cooper is in the offing. As we reported just the other day, we’ve already had at least a dozen new MINIs launched or revealed in 2009 alone.

New Subaru Forester UK launch summer 2013

Mon, 26 Nov 2012

The 2013 Subaru Forester was revealed in Japan earlier this month and Subaru confirm it will arrive in the UK summer 2013. The new Forester does look very like the current Forester, but it does get some cosmetic tweaks with new bumpers, a more defined crease down the flanks and new alloys, mas well as a few extra toys like a new Infotainment Centre and SatNav with reversing camera. But what is also new is that in addition to a 2.0 litre petrol and diesel engine option – both with around 150PS – Subaru has confirmed the 2012 Forester will also get a new a new 2.0-litre direct injection turbo good for 280PS, which should bring a whole new dimension to the Forester experience.

Spyker confirms Peking to Paris will be a V8

Thu, 23 Apr 2009

Spyker confirms that the Peking Paris luxury 4x4 will be a V8 not a V12 [ad#ad-1] We brought you an exclusive the other day that Spyker will drop the planned V12 version of its uber-4×4 – The Spyker Peking-Paris D12 – in favour of a supercharged V8 – The Spyker Peking-Paris D8. But it’s always nice to have confirmation from the horses mouth and today, with a financial statement from Spyker, comes a tacit admission (or actual proof, as we like to think of it!) that our story was indeed correct. Spyker talk about the Peking-Paris in their statement, but only ever refer to it as the D8, dropping all references to the D12, which is probably as much as they’re willing to reveal until the car turns up at Frankfurt in September.
