Toyota has upgraded the spec on the Toyota Yaris TR The changes to the new Toyota Yaris TR move it up the range towards the T-Spirit. There are ten Yaris TR models in the range (prices and detail at the bottom) and all get an upgraded spec. Seven automakers agree on standardized fast-charge system for EVs

Seven automakers have agreed to use a common single-port fast-charging system for electric cars in the United States and Europe. The goal is to reduce development costs and make it easier for consumers to adopt electric vehicles. Audi, BMW, Daimler, Ford, General Motors, Porsche and Volkswagen will use identical charge plugs and the same system for communication between the charger and the car in their electric vehicles.

Nissan to revive Datsun brand for emerging markets, report says

The Datsun nameplate may soon be revived by Nissan Motor Co. as a low-cost sub-brand for emerging markets such as Russia and India. The Japanese carmaker plans to relaunch Datsun in 2014 and initially start selling the cars in Russia, India and Indonesia, Japan's Nikkei business daily reported.
