Ferrari is planning a range of new cars to rejuvenate its sports car family - including a new 458 Scuderia, a replacement 599 GTB and a hypercar to replace the Enzo. A report by respected automotive industry journal Automotive News today published a detailed timeline of the new car launches planned by Maranello: 458 Spider Launched at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show, retractable hard top. Good news for fans of Aston Martin's V8 Vantage, and especially those who found it a touch slow: the new, musclier V8 Vantage S.  The Aston Martin Vantage S is a tweaked-up version of the regular Vantage, and a full production model. It's the fastest Vantage yet! The biggest change is under the bonnet. The 4.7-litre V8 now has a stouter 430bhp, which makes it 20bhp more powerful than the Vantage N24 and 30bhp up on the N400 special editions.

EPA rules greenhouse gases pose danger; more regulation expected

The EPA has proposed a finding that greenhouse gases from new vehicles and industrial plants pose a danger to the public, kicking off a process that could result in tighter regulation of carbon dioxide emissions. The EPA's findings come two years after the U.S. Supreme Court ordered the agency to determine whether these emissions contribute to harmful air pollution under the Clean Air Act or whether the science is too uncertain.
