This replacement key shell (non OEM)  is meant for customers who have a working remote head key that is cracked or broken. You do not need to purchase the complete key if your remote functions are working normally. The blade is molded into the plastic head on remote head keys, so it must be cut to match your original key before you can use it. Not all locksmiths or dealerships have the proper equipment to cut high security key shell for BMW , so you will need to call around before purchasing. Once the new key shell is cut you can remove the electronic part from your original key, place it into the new shell and it will work just as normal.. Please be certain that this is the proper key for your vehicle. This key can put chip inside. .
