The new 2010 model year Vauxhall Corsa has been nipped and tucked, tweaked and polished to produce an impressive average 13% fuel saving across the range.Five out of the six Corsa engines now produce less than 125g/km and the 2010 Corsa Ecoflex diesel now manages up to 76.3mpg (on the Government's not-especially-representative combined figures).How have they made the Corsas so much cleaner?Just good old-fashioned engine tuning, apparently. BMW SUCCESS AT BCA SALE
Thu, 10 Oct 2013A WIDE selection of used BMW vehicles fetched a total of £9.2 million at a special sale held by BCA in December. 325 vehicles were sold at the Virtual Auction held at Park Plaza Riverbank, with an average selling price of £29,700. Interest was fuelled by a number of vehicles making their used market debuts, including the Mini Cooper D Countryman, new 520d, 525d and 530d 5 Series models and the X5 X-Drive 4.0d M Sport.
Mercedes-Benz buys naming rights to the Louisiana Superdome
Wed, 05 Oct 2011New Orleans' Louisiana Superdome, home at one time or another to Super Bowl champions and Hurricane Katrina refugees, is now home to a luxury-car brand. The arena was renamed the Mercedes-Benz Superdome this week after the carmaker acquired naming rights for 10 years. "The investment being made by a premier international brand who believes in 'the best or nothing,' is a tremendous compliment to all of those who worked so hard to make the stadium what it is today," said Tom Benson, owner of the NFL's New Orleans Saints.
