A Pagani Zonda R For Sale – Track not included!

Wed, 11 Mar 2009

A Pagani Zonda R is up for grabs As we reported recently, Pagani has finally got round to officially launching the Pagani Zonda R, the ultimate performance Zonda (not that there’s anything wrong with the performance on the Zonda S or Zonda F or Zonda Cinque or…), which is a pure, track-only version of Pagani’s stunning supercar. As you would expect, there are only going to be a handful of Zonda Rs made and frankly, unless you have your own track (or own your own country), you’re not going to be able to use it to blat down to the pub on a Sunday lunchtime. But that small detail won’t stop the well-heeled petrol-head from digging deep to buy one.

New Mercedes A Class: Production increased to meet demand

Tue, 23 Oct 2012

With over 70,000 orders already in the pipeline for the new Mercedes A Class, Mercedes are increasing production to meet demand. The increase in production at Mercedes plant in Rastatt, Germany, means adding a third shift to effectively increase production by almost 50 per cent and make a dent in the 70k plus orders Mercedes already has for the new A Class. That’s in stark contrast to the recent news that Mercedes is having to slash production of the S Class as sales falter, partly due to a new S Class in the pipeline for 2013 but also because buyers are falling in love with more compact offerings.

MINI Speedster back on the cards

Tue, 07 Apr 2009

Mini Speedster from 2001 - looks set to form the basis of a new MINI Speedster Based on the MINI platform, the Speedster version was talked about as long ago as 2001, but never made it to production on the first MINI platform. But perhaps having now covered just about every variant they can think of, BMW has decided that now is the time to revive the car and get it in to production. Small Roadsters, in the vein of the old British open-topped 2 seater ( and its modern ‘Homage’ version – the MX-5) will, I’m sure, see something of a renaissance in the next few years as people start to turn away from big, profligate cars, but still seek some fun motoring.
