GM and Koenigsegg agree Saab sale
Tue, 16 Jun 2009By Ben Pulman Motor Industry 16 June 2009 11:00 American car giant General Motors has signed a memorandum of understanding for the purchase of Saab by an investment group led by Swedish supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg. That's the deal. Supercar maker Koenigsegg Automotive, together with a consortium of private investors, has formed Koenigsegg Group, which has reached a ‘tentative agreement’ to buy Saab from GM.

But today we learn that not only is Ferrari looking at Hybrid options, but that it intends showing a car very soon – probably at the Los Angeles Motor Show in November. Ferrari is looking at several options to keep the ‘Environmentalists’ happy, including Bio-Fuel and Turbo charging.

And, just like many other car makers, they are going down the ‘More for Less’ route, which has always appealed to buyers, whatever the product. So Hyundai has announced this morning two additions to their range – the Hyundai i10 ES and the Hyundai i30 ES – to grab a few headlines, highlight their low prices and make the most of the Scrappage budget before it runs out.
