THIS MEANS YOU MUST VERIFY OIL GOING INTO THE TURBO AFTER CRANKING ENGINE BUT BEFORE START UP. THIS IS VERIFIED BY CRACKING THE OIL FEED LINE TO ENSURE OIL IS BEING FED INTO THE TURBO. THIS MUST BE DOCUMENTED WITH VIDEO OR PICTURES FOR WARRANTY. IN ADDITION TO THIS YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR ENGINE OIL AND REPLACE THE FILTER TO ENSURE THAT NO CONTAMINATION HAS OCCURED IN THE OIL. Mazda wins 2008 LA Design Challenge
Tue, 25 Nov 2008The Mazda Kaan concept has won the fifth annual LA Design Challenge competition, part of the Design Los Angeles automobile designer's conference. The award was presented during the second press day of the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show, following a designers' luncheon and keynote speech by Daniel Simon, visionary futurist and author of Cosmic Motors. As we reported last month, nine local Southern California design studios entered the competition to envisage how motor sport vehicles might be in the year 2025, answering the theme ‘Motorsports 2025'.

Lotus Esprit James Bond car up for auction
Sat, 29 Jun 2013The Lotus Esprit Submarine (pictured) from the James Bond 007 film is up for auction James Bond and cars go together like bacon and eggs and, with the exception of the 007 Aston Martin DB5, the Lotus Esprit ‘Submarine’ car from the Spy Who Loved Me is probably the most iconic Bond car to have hit the big screen. Piloted in the film by Roger Moore – with Mrs Ringo Starr, Barbara Bach, at his side – the underwater version of the Esprit, one of six used in the film, was affectionately know to the crew as ‘Wet Nellie’ and actually piloted for the underwater scenes by former SEAL Don Griffin, who worked as a test pilot for the creators of the Esprit Submarine - Perry Oceanographic. After filming ended it was sent of to a storage unit in Long Island, ten years rent was paid upfront but, when the 10 year rent period ended, no one stepped forward to claim the contents at they were sold off for a song to a local couple.
