These belts have been tested and are street legal and meet FMVSS 209/302 protocols ( Industry safety standard for today's seat belts ) These are 3" wide ( regular passenger cars have 2" wide belts ) The belt measures out at 74" totally extended. ( I have a separate listing for 60" ) The anchors have been E-Coasted Black and are bolt in. This item will come with a tag stating that they meet FMVSS for those states still doing inspections. The belt will come with the patch pictured on the belt. If you do not want the patch attached, please leave a message at checkout. BMW i3 EV WILL get BMW motorcycle engine as range extender
Tue, 22 Jan 2013BMW’s head of R&D, Herbert Diess, has confirmed the BMW i3 EV will come with the option of a range extender engine. BMW’s head of R&D, Herbert Diess, has confirmed to Automotive News that when the i3 arrives in BMW showrooms at the end of 2013 it will be offered with a range extending engine as well as a pure EV. The range extender engine will be housed in the boot and is derived from a BMW motorcycle engine, and will turn the i3 from a small EV, useful only in confined city environs with a range of around 40 miles, in to a small runaround that has a range of 250 miles.

In 1984 Chrysler began the development of a mid-engined, rear-wheel drive car using an experimental powertrain. To avoid the costs of creating a whole new chassis, the M4S is based on a modified Huffaker tubular chassis with full roll cage taken from the Pontiac Fiero IMSA race car, only lengthened to a 100-inch wheelbase.
