Northern Lights part # 00-35406 marine exhaust gas/water separator made from fiberglass.  Set up with 3" O.D. exhaust in/out ports and 1-1/2" O.D. water drain port. Bulkhead mount style with 1-1/2" x 5/16" flange on all sides with four (4) 1/2" mounting holes at 16-1/2"W x 19-1/2"H.  Separator overall dimensions are 18"W x 21"H x 7-3/8"D.  I have two separators to sell but this listing is for ONE ONLY.  It has never been used or installed.  This separator has a chip in the corner as visible in the photo.  There is no other damage or defects to this separator.  Original delivery box and packing is intact but shows signs of wear.

This separator was originally designed for Northern Lights generators from 20-33kW.  These are listed as an accessory for the Northern Lights generators M864W3 (20-25kW, 40HP max, 2.5l Lugger), M944W (26-30kW, 49HP max, 3.3l Lugger) or M944T (32-33kW, 60HP max, 3.3l Lugger).

They are intended to separate the exhaust gas and water mixture allowing the water to exit under the hull and gasses at the transom without the noisy splashing.  They reduce the exhaust noise so your time on board is quieter and more enjoyable.  Current retail prices I have found are at $440.00 and up.

The new Kia Soul EV (pictured) has been revealed in Chicago The Kia Soul EV is Kia’s first effort at a proper mass production EV, and if you’re looking for an electric car it does look promising. Due to go on sale later in 2014 in the US – initially in California, New York and Oregan because of their charging infrastructure – and, Kia promised, the UK and Europe later in 2014 or early 2015, the Soul EV offers a real world driving range of 80-100 miles from a recharge taking half an hour for 80 per cent on a rapid 50kW charger or up to 5 hours for a full recharge from a UK 240 volt supply. The range is helped by Kia’s third-generation regenerative braking system which manages to capture 12 per cent of the car’s kinetic energy, feeding it back in to the battery as electricity during braking and coasting, with four different regeneration modes.
