2013 Kia Sorento engine lineup revealed

Kia has revealed that the 2013 Sorento – which will debut at the Paris Motor Show next month – will get a choice of two diesel and one petrol engines. We’ve had two reveals of the 2013 Kia Sorento so far this year, the first for the 2013 US Sorento and the second for the 2013 Europe and UK Sorento, but no details on the engine lineup. Second Fisker Karma fire under investigation

Investigators hired by Fisker Automotive are looking into a Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid sedan that caught fire on Aug. 11 in a suburb outside San Jose, Calif. This is the second instance of a fire involving a Karma in the last three months.

General Motors cancels plans for Buick compact crossover

General Motors has canceled plans for a compact crossover for Buick, vice chairman Tom Stephens said Wednesday in a posting on the company's blog. The five-passenger crossover was just announced earlier this month at an event in Northern Michigan. But GM reversed plans after negative feedback about the vehicle said that it didn't fit the premium characteristics associated with the brand.
