Has a spliced in 3 &1/4" Stainless Steel Snap Shackle. The splice is "properly" spliced with a "California Taper" and has a permanent bitter end whip to prevent unraveling of the line. The term heat sealed translates to: (just too darn lazy & cheap to do the job properly !) The splices are done by a former US Coast Guardsman. Custom lengths provided upon request! Tue, 26 Nov 2013TOP GEAR star James May must be getting Meccano for Christmas because he is using the classic toy to build a motorbike and sidecar to race the Isle of Man TT circuit for a new show. The episode of his Toy Stories series, called The Motorcycle Diaries, sees May get to grips with a construction kit to try to build a vehicle capable of carrying him and co-star Oz Clarke around the 37-mile course. In previous episodes James May and his team have built a giant slot-car racing track, a full size Airfix replica of a Spitfire and a giant toy glider.

Mon, 11 Aug 2014Kia has released pictures of the exterior of its new Sorento, ahead of the car's debut at the Paris Motor Show in October. It's the third generation of the Korean firm's mid-size SUV, and first impressions are that it conforms to the inexorable trend towards crossover aesthetics shown by both the Sorento itself - which has transitioned from utility-focused body-on-frame SUV to its latest car-like form - and its rivals. The Sorento gains 95mm in length, taking it to 4,780mm, with 80mm of that increase being the wheelbase, which now measures 2,780mm.
