Yeti leads Skoda growth spurt

Today the Czech manufacturer has a four-strong range: Fabia supermini, Octavia family car, Superb saloon and roomy Roomster. But by 2011 it’ll have a tiny Smart-like city car, a new small four-door, the Yeti junior off-roader and a seven-seater MPV.

Lexus ends production of LFA supercar (2012)

The final example of Lexus's carbonfibre supercar – the LFA – has rolled off the company's Motomachi production line in Japan, bringing to an end a seven-year journey from the initial concept model, and two years of LFA production. In a new development, scientists have made biofuel from ground coffee produced in 20 different geographic regions - including caffeinated and decaffeinated forms. New research from the University of Bath suggests waste coffee grounds could be a "sustainable fuel source" for powering vehicles.
