Jay Kay's LaFerrari to star at Salon Privé

CAR BUFFS will have a unique chance to get up close to some of the fastest, most exciting cars in the world today when the 2014 Salon Privé show arrives in London next month. Among the star cars at the Syon Park event will be Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay’s spearmint green LaFerrari; the only example anywhere in the world in that colour. All the cars present will be ultra-rare, ultra-exclusive hypercars with sub-three-second 0-62mph sprint times and top speeds well in excess of 200mph.

Motor Industry bosses have said this week that the Electric car market is carnage and that EVs are not fit for primetime sales. We’ve made no secret of our views on electric cars: they’re simply not fit for the market. And now it seems motor industry bosses are finally standing up and saying much the same.

More women 'caught drink driving'

THE NUMBER of women convicted of drink-driving has almost doubled in recent years, a survey has shown. Women accounted for 9% of drink-drive convictions in 1998, but this figure had risen to 17% by 2012, the survey revealed. From car insurance company Direct Line and transport organisation the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund, the survey also showed that 17% of female motorists thought they had driven while over the legal alcohol limit in the past year.
