Honda reveals Urban SUV concept
Tue, 11 Dec 2012Honda's compact Urban SUV concept has been teased in a sketch ahead of its unveiling at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. From the sketch we can see pronounced wheel arches with a feature line flowing into the profile where it meets the concept's most striking aspect – an upwards-rising feature line that stretches until it meets the D-pillar. Although other details are sparse, the Japanese carmaker does say that the Urban SUV concept's interior is designed to maximize space using its center-tank layout.
VW Design Vision Golf GTI (2013) 493bhp Golf revealed
Wed, 08 May 2013As CAR reported in our scoop last week, VW will unveil a higher-performance Golf GTI hot hatch at the 2013 Wörthersee show, and here we have the first sketches of the super-Golf. Called the VW Design Vision Golf GTI, the concept packs close to 500bhp and can outrun a Porsche 911. It's by far the most extreme Golf hot hatch since the Bentley-engined GTI W12 concept of 2007.
New British car company aims for bespoke market
Fri, 13 Dec 2013A NEW BRITISH car company has been launched and the Alcraft Motor Company aims to offer bespoke designs based on existing models. The company says it will offer enhanced designs for Aston Martin, Jaguar and Land Rover models to begin with. Each design will be unique to the customer in a move that harks back to the days of coachbuilt cars of the 1920s.
