Selling the right and left side e-brake-drum assembly parts for the Z32 300ZX already taken apart for you. These are necessary for those of you converting to the 300ZX e-brake setup. Comes with the backing plates used to hold the assembly together (plus an extra backing plate that is a bit bent, which can be fixed with pliers or a little hammering with a hammer or mallet). I also have a pair of anchors, which are necessary to hold the whole e-brake-drum assembly together. One anchor is thicker than the other and the reason for that is because the thick one came from a 300ZX (NON-TURBO) hub that did not have the extra tab that the 300ZX turbo hub comes with. So for example, the hub on the right has the tab (for the thinner anchor) and the hub on the left has no tab (for the thicker anchor): http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w19/tacobellman_2007/Z32_zps260b1eab.jpg You will simply need to use a spacer with the thinner anchor. It will look like this: http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w19/tacobellman_2007/Z32b_zps8f85caa6.jpg Just to help you out, use a spacer with an inside diameter of about 3/4" and the length/height of the spacer should be about 7/16" Also, you will need to drill a hole in one of the pair of backing plates (unless you use the third backing plate I'm throwing in for free, which already has the hole) so that the torx bolt from the thicker anchor can go through. Here's a diagram of the e-brake assembly: http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w19/tacobellman_2007/240sx%20S13%20parts/Z32%20e-brake%20shizz/Screenshot2013-08-05at105540AM_zps702bdddf.png

Audi R8 V10 – Cheaper than we thought

Thu, 15 Jan 2009

The magnificent Audi R8 V10 was officially launched at Detroit this week (although we brought you details on the R8 V10 over a month ago!), and it will cause some real problems for car manufacturers at this level – most noticeably Porsche. Which could be a problem, as Porsche owns Audi! Audi R8 V10 - Cheaper than we thought The R8 V10 seems something of a bargain at £99,575 OTR (or £104,665 for the R-Tronic), particularly if you compare cars with similar performance, such as the F430, which is nearly £40k more.

Them's the Breaks: Mercedes concept name razes I browse

Wed, 21 Apr 2010

Yes, yes, we know. The Mercedes-Benz use of the term “Shooting Break” as the name for its latest concept vehicle is, well, it's just so wrong. The traditional, and most people would say correct, spelling is “shooting brake.” As AW's copy chief, I take this sort of thing very much to heart and felt moved to respond to the yowling of readers on our Web site.

Car spending 'more than holidays'

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

NEARLY HALF of drivers in the UK spend more disposable income on their car than anything else, according to a survey. Spending on cars (47%) easily outweighs the amount spent on holidays (21%) and socialising with friends (13%), the poll from Halfords Autocentres showed. But the survey also found that 10% of drivers were cutting back on car maintenance to save money.
