Length between Holes: 51 mm Width between Holes: 25.5 mm Also known as UK Grade A4 this is the purest grade used for all marine applications. At the end of this description is the full explanation of the grade & a table explaining it’s suitability for various uses. Suitable for all chandlery applications, marine & industrial uses plus aviaries & pets. As they are pure surgical grade Stainless Steel they will not harm birds such as parrots which are adversely affected by the zinc in galvanised fittings. These can also be used in making Saddlery, Bridles, Harnesses & Head Collars as they will never rust or tarnish. If you enjoy sub-aqua, diving or snorkelling these are ideal. Specification:- American Iron & Steel Institute (AISI) Type 316 — for food and surgical stainless steel uses; alloy addition of molybdenum prevents specific forms of corrosion. It is also known as marine grade stainless steel due to it’s increased resistance to chloride corrosion compared to type 304. Type 304 is the classic 18/8 or A2 stainless & will corrode over time. Sun, 05 Jul 2009The Rover 75 Coupe - one of MG Rover's last big ideas before its collapse in 2005 MG Rover was bought from BMW for the princely sum of £10 after BMW had had enough of trying to make a viable company out of a business that was still undermined by the woes – and attitudes – of the British Leyland years. That £10 purchase price also came with £425 million in loans from BMW, so MG Rover had a chance. But the collapse, and the subsequent sale of the rights to the MG trademark to SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation), brought accusations that the ‘Phoenix Four’ – Directors and owners of MG Rover – has acted fraudulently when it was revealed they had acquired more than £40 million in pension rights, salary and assets in the intervening five years between purchase from BMW and collapse.

Interior Motives China Conference to explore new design directions
Thu, 15 Apr 2010Chinese consumers are driving new design directions, and CDN's Interior Motives China Conference in Beijing next week is set to explore how. Titled ‘New brands and the search for a design identity', the conference features an impressive speaker line-up that blends the international (Chris Bangle and VW's Wolfgang Muller Pietralla) with the regional (GM PATAC's Friedhelm Engler, Ford China's Chelsia Lau and PSA-Peugeot/Citroën China's Robert Walker), with the domestic (Shan Wei of the Beijing Automotive Technical Center (BATC), and Ken Ma of SAIC). The annual conference is the third in China to be hosted by CDN's magazine Interior Motives, and will be held on Wednesday 21 April, and Thursday 22 April, just in advance of the opening of Auto China 2010 in Beijing on Friday (23 April).
