Length between Holes: 51 mm Width between Holes: 25.5 mm Also known as UK Grade A4 this is the purest grade used for all marine applications. At the end of this description is the full explanation of the grade & a table explaining it’s suitability for various uses. Suitable for all chandlery applications, marine & industrial uses plus aviaries & pets. As they are pure surgical grade Stainless Steel they will not harm birds such as parrots which are adversely affected by the zinc in galvanised fittings. These can also be used in making Saddlery, Bridles, Harnesses & Head Collars as they will never rust or tarnish. If you enjoy sub-aqua, diving or snorkelling these are ideal. Specification:- American Iron & Steel Institute (AISI) Type 316 — for food and surgical stainless steel uses; alloy addition of molybdenum prevents specific forms of corrosion. It is also known as marine grade stainless steel due to it’s increased resistance to chloride corrosion compared to type 304. Type 304 is the classic 18/8 or A2 stainless & will corrode over time.
