I'm selling this without the rim (it's cracked) to save on shipping. This tire will not come with the wheel. This is a new tire from the mid 90's that was mounted on a rim but never mounted on a vehicle. I bought it brand new and have never used it. This is still a very good tire and has always been kept inside a garage. The only damage is a very small amount of weather checking near the rim (look at the picture). It holds air and even has the rubber nub's on it still. The white stains around the name are some paint splashes that got on there. They can be removed once you get the tire. The tire weighs about 60 lbs without the wheel and I will ship it. Ask for a shipping quote if you're interested. I'm estimating shipping weight at 80LBS and the shipping dimensions at 36X36X18.

Carbon fiber's cost is falling dramatically, thanks to production advances that let suppliers speed the material's finicky, and costly, curing process. One technological breakthrough that makes carbon-fiber auto parts more affordable may come from a process used to make carbon-fiber golf clubs.
