Hyundai recalls Santa Fe, Veracruz for airbag fixFri, 16 Sep 2011Hyundai is recalling 205,233 copies of the 2007-2008 Santa Fe and Veracruz because of an issue with the airbags. Hyundai has received about 7,800 warranty claims as a result of airbag defects in these vehicles, though the carmaker said it is not aware of any related accidents or injuries. Electrical parts used to deploy the airbags may conduct current improperly, causing them to malfunction during a crash. Exhibition: Taxis of the WorldTue, 11 Nov 2008The 'Taxis du Monde' exhibit recently held at the Paris Motor Show displayed a total of 40 taxis from 20 cities around the world, illustrating the evolution and diverse needs of the past, the present and even the future. Renault’s Type AG from 1913 is one historical example. One of the first Parisian taxis, it became known as the “Taxi of the Marne” after 1300 examples transported 6000 men to head off the German army in the first world war. New Jaguar XJR UK debut next weekFri, 07 Jun 2013The New Jaguar XJR (pictured) gets its UK debut at Moto Expo 2013 Lovers of powerful XJs were delighted discover that a new Jaguar XJR, which debuted at the New York Auto Show in April, will finally give them a properly sporty XJ, rather than the somewhat compromised SuperSport version of the current XJ with the 5.0 litre Supercharged engine. Jaguar has kept faith with the history of the XJR by giving the new model a subtle ‘Sporty’ makeover with only gentle go-faster bits – like ‘R’ badges, new alloys, quad tailpipes, small boot spoiler, front splitter and a subtle body kit – so the new XJR looks purposeful, rather than looking like its been dipped in a Halfords bargain bucket. The real changes come under the skin, with the new XJR getting the 542bhp version of the 5.0 litre supercharged engine, tweaked dampers and spring rates, refined active diff and DSC and new shift patterns for the 8-speed auto box. 2040Parts.com © 2012-2025.
