Kia four-door sports sedan concept

Kia isn't giving much away about its Frankfurt-bound concept car, indeed it hasn't even released its name yet, referring to it as the 'four-door sports sedan concept.' The press release talks of it as 'signalling a distinctive new design direction' for the Korean brand, yet the now-familiar 'tiger-nose' grille and Optima-esque A-pillar/cant rail/C-pillar highlight are very much in evidence. "No matter from which perspective you look at it - this concept car is roaring with energy and ready for take-off," says Peter Schreyer, Kia Motors Chief Design Officer."I believe the car is a strong statement from Kia: we are ready to fast forward to an all new chapter." RTT Student Awards contest launched

Students from around the world have been invited to enter the annual RTT Student Award, sponsored by NVIDIA and Wacom. RTT has called for submissions of visionary ideas and concepts to enter in the categories of ‘Emerging Technology' and ‘Funky Visualization,' with an expert judging panel deciding on the highest caliber submissions. Winning students will present their project at Excite 2012, RTT's showcase for cutting-edge innovation and technology in the world of 3D real-time visualization.

McLaren P1 – the new F1 / P12 arrives

The McLaren P1 – spiritual successor to the legendary McLaren F1 – has been revealed ahead of a public debut at Paris 2012. It’s been a long time coming, but the new McLaren P1 – the name for what we’ve thought of as the McLaren P12 or new F1 – has finally been unveiled. As expected, the new McLaren P1 has more dramatic styling than the MP4-12C with its aerodynamic parts matt black and the flowing contours of the dramatic body painted, with headlights offering a nod to McLaren’s logo and a roof scoop that’s reminiscent of the F1′s.
