Genuine Delco Remy 6V, 5 terminal voltage regulator, part # 5807. This is the correct and original voltage regulator born on 1937-1939 Buick, all series and models. May also work for other GM models with negative ground charging systems like Cadillac, LaSalle, Olds & Pontiac.

This voltage regulator is used, however the best looking one I have listed thus far. It has no corrosion under the lid, and the rubber seal is fully intact. This is the reason for the higher price. It does not smell burnt and the armature/contact point mechanisms all move freely. The contact points do not look worn.

As is the case with all VRs I sell, it is a 75+ year old electronic part. It is untested and not guaranteed. You are purchasing it as-is. It may need adjustment or rebuild.

This voltage regulator was replaced by 4-prong regulator, part #1118213, in October 1939 (1940 model year), which removed the "ignition" terminal.

These 5-terminal Delco pre-war voltage regulators are getting extremely hard to find. Do not see them for sale here very often.

Please ask questions before bidding. Shipping is free to Continental US. International shipping & handling will be flat rate quote based on destination country - please feel free to request price.

Pictures are of the actual voltage regulator you will receive.

Nissan Leaf with advanced-driver assist to begin public road tests in Japan

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

Nissan is about to begin testing advanced driver-assist systems in the real world, and a new Nissan Leaf is serving as the test bed for these technologies. This is all a part of Nissan's development of Autonomous Drive, a goal to achieve virtually zero fatalities in accidents involving its vehicles by the year 2020. Autonomous Drive can be said to be a further development of Nissan's Safety Shield, a system that has a 360-degree view around the vehicle that scans for risks and provides warnings to the driver, intervening automatically if necessary.

Vintage vehicles shine at annual Lime Rock Park fall festival

Wed, 13 Oct 2010

Mark your 2011 calendar for this event, right now. Vintage racing in the Northeast was virtually invented at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut. The sport was established by the Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA), founded in 1958, and remained “clubby” for nearly two generations, as anyone who ever saw Fred Willits drive his Bugatti GP car through the Lime Rock pits with his blue blazer buttoned over his driving suit will remember.

Police authorities turning a blind eye to lane hoggers

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

REX Features MSN Cars can exclusively reveal that just 13 drivers have been fined for lane hogging on the M25 since new laws were introduced last year – while thousands are still penalised for breaking the speed limit. The news comes following a freedom of information request carried out by MSN to the six police authorities covering London’s orbital motorway, which according to the Department for Transport carries 153,000 vehicles a day.
