HERE I HAVE FOR SALE THE ULTIMATE STREET ROD, HOT ROD OR CRUISER ENGINE A 383 STROKER SMALL BLOCK CHEVY ENGINE. I STARTED WITH 350 4 BOLT MAIN BLOCK . I DID A COMPLETE REMAN ON THIS ENGINE. I HAD THE BLOCK BOILED, CHECKED AND BORED OUT 30 THOUSANDS .I INSTALLED NEW FREEZE PLUGS AND NEW CAM BEARING. THE ENGINE WAS ASSEMBLED WITH NEW FLATTOP HYPEREUTETIC COATED PREMIUM PISTONS AND BRAND NEW EAGLE CONNECTING RODS. THIS WILL TAKE THE COMPRESSION RATIO UP TO AROUND T0 10.5TO 1.STILL BEING ABLE TO USE REGULAR PUMP GAS. AND STILL BE ABLE TO GET OLD TIME THROTTLE RESPONSE.IT WAS ASSEMBLED WITH NEW EAGLE 383 STROKER CRANKSHAFT AND BEARINGS. BEFORE ASSEMBLY ALL COMPONENTS OF THE ROTATING ASSEMBLY WERE BALANCED TO PERCISION. EVERY CYLINDER WAS CLEARANCED AS IT WAS PUT TOGETHER.I INSTALLED A NEW HIGH VOLUME OIL PUMP,A NEW HIGH PERFORMANCE CAM AND LIFTER KIT. IT HAS A POWER RANGE FROM 1600 TO 5500 RPM'S.THAT IS THE STRONGEST CAM THEY MAKE FOR A STOCK TORQUE CONVERTER TO BE USED WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. IT STILL HAS A GOOD IDLE AND SOUNDS GREAT. I USED MODEL 1.94 CYLINDER HEADS. THEY WERE PROFESSIONALLY RECONDITIONED MAGNAFLUXED AND PLAINED. THEY WERE ALSO PORTED AROUND THE VALVE SEATS TO INCREASE FLOW AND ADD ABOUT 30 MORE HORSEPOWER.. IT COMES COMPLETE AS YOU SEE IT.IT WOULD BE GREAT FOR ANY PROJECT YOU MAY BE WORKING ON. THE ENGINE IS A DIRECT FIT INTO ANY CHEVY FROM 1955 THRU 1986 AND SOME NEWER. Millions of Ford vehicles recalled for engine-fire risk are still unrepaired
Fri, 22 Oct 2010About 8.4 million Ford vehicles that can possibly catch fire remain on the road because of lack of owner information even after the largest U.S. safety recall ever, regulators said Thursday. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration urged owners of the 14 million vehicles recalled between 1999 and 2009 for leaky cruise-control switches to take their unrepaired vehicles in to dealers.

Fri, 14 Mar 2014The current Ranault Twingo (pictured) looks set to live on as the new Dacia Twingo The new Renault Twingo – which shares its underpinnings with the next Smart – arrived at the Geneva Motor Show last week, and it looks an appealing and impressive city runaround. With 3-cylinder engines, rear wheel drive and decent looks, the Twingo looks to have a decent chance of making sensible sales this side of the Channel as the budget alternative to the next Smart Car, which will be basically the same under the skin. But those plans may go a bit awry if a report from Auto Bild is accurate, as Dacia appear to be preparing to take the current Twingo and turn it in to a budget offering for the Dacia range.
Porsche Boxster growing to make room for small two-seater, report says
Mon, 16 Aug 2010The next-generation Porsche Boxster will get a longer wheelbase and measure nearly 173 inches long overall, British magazine Autocar says on its Web site. Why is the Boxster growing? To create room at the bottom of the Porsche lineup for a new two-seater based on the Volkswagen BlueSport concept shown at the Detroit auto show in 2009, the report says.
