3951529 SBC 400 CI Nodular Iron Crankshaft Flexplate & Balancer Factory Grind.


Virgin, unmolested OEM/GM 400 cu. in. Gen I Chevy small block standard grind crankshaft including factory matched externally balanced flexplate and harmonic balancer. Cast date L 21 7 (December 21, 1977 for 1978 model year applications). Last of the long stroke, thumper Gen I small block engine/crankshaft design. Factory grind on rods and mains with normal wear. Crank snout drilled and taped for balancer. Flywheel/flexplate threads in good condition and OEM bolts/lockwashers included with this assembly. Ring gear in serviceable condition. Assembly removed from a running engine with oil pressure within acceptable limits. Balancer needs sleeved. Will ship in two separate packages. Look the pictures over, what you see is what you get.

A REAL automotive rarity has occurred with the announcement that a new low-volume British sports car brand will reveal an initial concept car in April. David Brown Automotive will be set up along the same lines as Morgan, with the aim of recapturing the past glory of British sports cars but using modern materials, reliable mechanicals and up-to-date luxuries. Such ventures have been tried before, with very mixed results, but owner and financial backer David Brown is confident that the first model, codenamed ‘Project Judi’, will succeed.
