Hyundai arrives in Piccadilly Circus

Thu, 29 Sep 2011

Hyundai arrives in Piccadilly Circus If you want a clear sign of how mainstream Hyundai has become, the news that it’s taken over the iconic billboard display in Piccadilly Circus from Sanyo is as much evidence as you need. Piccadilly Circus is the UK version of Times Square, and the neon signs have been a splash of international colour washing over Eros for a century, during which time there have been just fifty brands showcasing their wares to the 50 million or more passing Londoners – and visitors – every year, not counting the millions more who see the signs on Piccadilly Circus postcards that still wing their way round the world. The new Hyundai spot – which has been the Sanyo space for the last 33 years – is the last of the spaces to rely on neon lights to get its message across.

Nissan Note [w/Video]

Mon, 16 Jul 2012

Nissan has unveiled initial details of its new Note at a world premiere held at the Osanbashi venue in Yokohama. The B-segment MPV's exterior features a number of familiar Nissan design characteristics, including the combined grille/lamp DRG and 'squash line' side eature line, first seen on Pivo 3 concept. The project was led by product chief designer, Atsushi Maeda.

Ferrari F70 takes test laps

Wed, 06 Feb 2013

It's a strange world we live in when, even in my short-to-medium lifespan, we've gone from the 1980 Ferrari 308 GTSi making either 205 or 214 hp—depending on who you're asking—to the Ferrari F70, which is rumored to make 950 hp with its V12 and KERS system. I would put an Excel graph here, but just imagine a line going up at a 45-degree angle to infinity. With all of that in mind, here's about five minutes of the camouflaged supercar flying around the test track with fantastic audio of the Italian stallion in action.
